The house
Ty Popty is a grade two listed cottage, with picturesque views across the Colwyn and Glaslyn rivers and the village of Beddgelert. Ty Popty has been used as our own holiday home for over ten years, and we strive to ensure it is a ‘home from home’.
On the ground floor is the generous dining room with a pine dresser, large table and electric 'wood-burner style' fire. The kitchen, with its oil fired Aga, also includes a combi microwave/oven/grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and all the essentials you are likely to need. Also on the ground floor are a washing machine, downstairs toilet and one double bedroom.
The living room on the first floor has lovely views out of its bay window and features a wood burner for those colder days. For entertainment there is a large television, DVD player and a collection of games and books to keep the whole family entertained. We also have wifi to help our guests stay connected (or simply switch it off to truly get away from it all!).
The upstairs bathroom comprises a roll-top bath, wash basin and WC, and is situated next to the second bedroom, which has two single beds. The third bedroom (a double) leads off the living room, and includes an electric shower.
The bedrooms all have comfortable beds with quality cotton bedlinen.
Children
Children of all ages are welcome, although the house has not been equipped for very young children and parents must be aware of certain potential hazards including the Aga and stairs (please contact us if you want more information). The house is equipped with stair gates but not a high-chair or travel cot. Please also note that there is no garden at the property.
Canine friends
Dogs can be sure of a warm welcome at Ty Popty, and many of our furry friends enjoy curling up in front of the lovely warm Aga! All we ask is that, in the interest of all our guests, dogs stay downstairs (in the dining room and kitchen). Up to two dogs are very welcome, at no extra cost. More than two dogs may be permissible - please contact us before booking. Please note however that there is no garden at the property.
Additional Information
Arrival/departure day is Saturday. Arrival time is after 4pm and departure time is before 10am. The cottage is strictly non-smoking.
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Although the cottage doesn't have its own parking, we will give you details of the many free parking options that are very close by.
